The general strike in Amsterdam occupied by the Nazis was called to denounce pogrom and Jewish deportations. Convened by the illegalized Dutch Communist Party, nearly 300,000 people met during the two days of strike. It is considered the first act against the occupied European Nazis and is known as the “February Strike”.
