The extreme heat wave hit Euskal Herria. It lasted until 14 August and in some villages temperatures did not fall by 35 degrees. From July onwards, Western Europe was completely caught by the blown hot air from Africa, especially France. In Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, France and Italy more than 30,000 people died of heat. In Euskal Herria there are no data of deaths.
