Valencian poet Miguel Hernández dies in prison. Born in the humble social class family, he combined communist militancy with poems. During the War of 36 he moved in favor of the Republic and, at the end of the war, the Francoists welcomed him as a Republican. He died in Alicante prison with bronchitis, typhus and tuberculosis.
