Journalist and anarchist Michelle Angiolillo was killed in Bergara prison. Days earlier he murdered the head of the Spanish government Canovas del Castillo in the resort of Arrasate, when he said he wanted to avenge the tortured and executed anarchists in the Montjuïc process. Currently, Bergara prison is the gaztetxe, and the library named after it is Angiolillo, who was a prisoner. When they were going to squeeze the garrote he screamed “germinal!”.
