In Brazil, the MST, the Landless Workers Movement, was created. The country ' s agricultural lands were in the hands of a few privileged rich white, many of them uncultivated, without productive use and based on theft in times of colonization.
Peasants who lacked their own land began to organize themselves to deal with this injustice, especially since 1978. They began to occupy land and have since become one of the world’s popular movements. The MST was created thanks to the articulation of different agents from all over the country.
