In Lithuania, 4,000 people who were defending the castle of Pilènai committed suicide in deciding that they would not be free under the crusades of the Order of the Knights Teutones. The aim of this crusade was to crystallize the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, eliminating its Gentiles' religions.
