World War I ended. Germany signed an armistice with the Allies and delegated to France the regions of Alsace and Lorrena. Germany was the last to sign the armistition from the central powers. 1% of the world's population died in this war, nearly 16 million people. These included thousands of citizens from Lapurdi, Bas-Navarra and Zuberoa.
