Kenyan guerrillas Mau Mau attacked the Naivasha police station. After defeating the British police, 173 prisoners from the side prison were released. Guerrillas Mau Mau advocated the independence and decolonization of Kenya, made up of a Kikuyu ethnic group who vowed to fight to obtain land and freedom. Following harsh repression by the British colonialists, the 20,000 guerrillas killed in combat must be added to all those who died tortured in prison and uncontrolled shooting.
