Juan José Munduate Zamalkona died in Basauri as a result of the torture suffered a few months earlier at the Indautxu police station. He was a worker of the Etxebarri Lamination Bands, a factory known years ago for the historic strike in Francoism.

He was on the verge of dying of epilepsy as a result of torture and of not receiving the necessary medicines.

The apparent torture was released with traces and once in the street he suffered a series of seizure epileptics. He died from one of them.
