In northern Ireland, the Ulster Defence Association (UDA) murdered five Republican civilians in Belfast. The aggression was proclaimed by the name of the Ulster Freedom Fighters (UFF) to prevent the illegalization of the then legitimate UDA organization. UDA was directly related to the British armed forces.
