The students of the ikastola Intxisu managed to enter the classrooms in Bilbao between September. Intxisu applied for integration into the public network and the Bilbao City Hall allowed them to use four classrooms of the San Francisco Javier public school. However, preexisting parents at that school rebelled against the decision and tried to prevent the children and teachers from accessing the ikastola. Boys and girls had to enter the ikastola between shouting like “terrorists”, “unifications” or “separatists”, with security measures from their parents and with the support of the Ertzaintza.
