Vitorian pilot Ignacio Hidalgo de Cisneros dies. Republican and a member of the Communist Party, he had to exile in France for participating in an attempt against the Spanish monarchy in 1930. During the 1936 War, the Air Navy was the leader of the Republic and tried to give planes to the Basques. He died in Romanian exile.
