Adolf Eichmann, a Nazi criminal sentenced to death, is executed in the city of Ramla. He was accused of being one of the main perpetrators of the so-called “last solution” against the Jews. In his proceedings against Jerusalem he said that he only complied with the orders. Based on this judgment, Hannah Arendt developed his thesis on the insufficiency of evil, noting that Eichmann was not a monster, but a normal person who fulfilled orders of extreme cruelty, bureaucrat of a massacre system.
