The Correo del Norte published the first newspaper article in Basque from Hego Euskal Herria. It was during the First Carlist War. The newspaper, which came in Euskera, was a demand of the liberals and the queen, directed at the peasants, with the intention of removing them from carlism and approaching liberal ideas. The writings were called to join the arms with the Gaspar Liberal Military Palace.
