The Civil Guard detained Orbaizetarra Mikel Zabraise in Altza. He was taken to Intxaurrondo and tortured to death. The Government of Spain tried to cover the crime by saying that it escaped in detention and fell to the Bidasoa River, but all the evidence defied that version. It was a state crime that struck Euskal Herria.
