They opened a kind of human zoo in Lisbon. As part of the Global Exhibition of Portugal, in order to represent the political project of the dictator Salazar, they were publicly exposed to the inhabitants of the Bissagos islands of Guinea-Bissau. Traditional dance and music shows had to take place in a tropical prairie specifically built for the occasion.
