Fidel Castro was born, leader of the Cuban Revolution. He organized a guerrillas to bring down the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista in the service of the United States. Once in power, he prioritized Cuba's interests over those of the United States. For this reason, he suffered numerous assassination attempts. He died at age 90.
