In an act of the Student Union of Falange a firecracker was launched at the 'Day of the fallen students', at the University of Barcelona. The Anti-Francoist University Front of Catalonia painted in favor of Catalonia and removed portraits of dictator Franco and Primo de Rivera from a class.

Brutal repression was used against this simple act of resistance to Franco. At least thirteen students were detected and tortured in the same school.
