Miguel Sanz, president of the province, pointed out that the Navarre schools teaching the history of the Basque Country had to be sanctioned. In 2010, the Ministry of Education withdrew subsidies to five editorials exhibiting Navarre in Euskal Herria along with Araba, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, Lapurdi, Nafarroa Beherea and Zuberoa.
