The United Kingdom ceased to belong to the European Union after 47 years. The referendum held in June 2016, in which 51.9%
of citizens voted to leave the EU, opened the door to the negotiation process and internal conflict. In the December 2019 elections, the knot was resolved after an absolute majority of the Conservative Party. They showed that it is possible to leave the EU.
