The Ikastola Aitor of Donostia was machine-gun at night. It wasn't the extreme right's first attack on the ikastolas. In May 1975, a group of strangers attacked the Ikastola de Irún with violence and destruction. On 9 September 1986, an attempt was made to set fire to the Ikastola Landaberri de Lasarte-Oria, causing serious damage. Enrique Villar, representative of Spain at the CAV in 2000, pointed out that ikastola was the seed of violence.
