The Scots lost the Battle of Culloden against the British, the beginning of repression

In Scotland there was the Battle of Cullode, together with Inverness. The British troops were almost doubled in number and the Scottish clans’ army sank completely. Under orders not to leave prisoners, the wounded were killed at the time or taken to England and executed there. Then came repression: the Scottish Gaelic language, the Gaite instrument, the Tartan curtain or its political organization with the death penalty.
