The first issue of the journal Eskual Herria de California was published, which was the first full journal in Euskera. Created by the ancient Jean Pierre Goytino in Los Angeles (EE.UU. ), was published every Saturday for five years, so it was the first Basque magazine published with a fixed periodicity. He also published ads in Basque and sold about 2,000 copies between Basques from America and Euskal Herria.
