Botswana courts restored the right to water to the Bosnians and punished the government of the country for “degrading treatment”. This native town was expelled in 2002 from the lands of its ancestors to drive diamond mining there. They brought the government to court and managed to annul the expulsion. Since then, the government had refused permission to exploit water. For President Ian Khama, the life of the Bosnians was “archaic fantasy.”
