The M-19 armed urban guerrilla entered the Dominican Republic embassy in the city of Bogotá and kidnapped several diplomats there. There were the ambassadors of the United States, Israel and France, among others. They called for the release of political prisoners, but after two months, the guerrillas agreed with the kidnapped to go to Cuba to free everyone.
