The battle of Mount Blair started between 10,000 armed miners in the United States and the police. The miners went to Mingo County to liberate the detained members, fight the abuses of the mining guards and defend union law. The men of the sheriff were waiting for them on the road. The struggle lasted about a week, when the American army intervened to defeat the workers.
