Benita Uribarrena Bollaín, the long-standing anti-fascist fighter, dies. In 1937 the fascists bombed Durango by fleeing with his family to France. There he entered the Communist Party of Spain. He was also an activist for the Spanish Union of Anti-Francoist Women.
