The La Canadenca factory in Barcelona began a strike for the eight-hour day. The strike, called by the CNT union, lasted 44 days and in a few days extended to 70% of the Catalan industry. Thanks to this strike, they had to accept the measure in the Spanish state, for the first time in the world.
