The British army killed 20 Kenyan civilians and many others mutilated in the Chuka massacre. The English soldiers sent to press the uprising for independence and social justice known as the Mau Mau rebellion committed great crimes in the country with total impunity. In this case, for example, no soldiers were tried or punished.
