Trial against the Argentine dictatorship in Buenos Aires begins

The trial against the Argentine dictatorship begins in Buenos Aires. It tried crimes against human rights between 1976 and 1983, which took a long time to come. The state prosecutor had to overcome all kinds of threats and obstacles to reach the end: five of the nine military chiefs, including Videla, Agosti and Viola. The trial revealed that between 10,000 and 20,000 people were killed and many others tortured, as well as that hundreds of children were stolen and handed over to the regime’s followers.
