Accountability of Chief Gerónimo Apache

Gerónimo gives up, leader of Apache, poor woman. His name was Go-khlä-yeh and his pseudonym was put by the Mexicans and he himself took the name of war.

The white man, the Mexicans, killed his mother, his wife and his three children after unjustifiably attacking his camp during the hunt. Since then he gave birth to the war against Mexicans and Americans, giving up living in reserves. He participated in dozens of battles as Apache nation leader. In the end, exploited and without resources, he had to give up. The only requirement he placed was to leave the reserve that they had taken and return to Arizona their hometown, and although the United States initially accepted it, after being arrested, they appointed him a prisoner of war, broke the pact and took her to Florida for forced labour.

At the end of his old life, he showed up as an animal in a zoo.

Before his death he gave his memoirs.
