Castilian soldiers burned the Bajonavarro town Monjolose

The Bajonavarro Monjolose people were burned by Castilian soldiers at the orders of the Duke of Alba. The neighbors left their homes and were sent to Donibane Garazi, leaving the town in ashes. They also committed robbery and rape throughout the area. Colonel Villalba considered the necessary facts. Three years after the fire of the town, King Fernando agreed to compensate for the damage caused by the fire.

Bernat Etxepare, a trustee of the people, was in charge of receiving the money.
