Seven-hour working day in the Soviet Union

A seven-hour working day was established in the Soviet Union. It was a measure taken within the first five-year plan. In the 1936 Constitution, along with this measure, other rights for workers were recognized: paid holidays and health centers, rest homes and clubs.

Before the Russian revolution, workers worked six days a week for 10-12 hours. After the revolution, they managed to reduce work six days a week to 8 hours a day. Today it was reduced to seven hours, six days a week.
