INPRIMATU
The saturation

I have to confess a sin here. Four years ago, I introduced a new habit into my life: on Sunday nights, I began to watch the ultra-right television channel CNews, which spreads continuous "information" like a cannon of shit. What was at first half an hour a week, has at any given time become a slimy zapping. I know: it’s not very honorable and I denounce it with a little bit of ahalke, but that chain of the millionaire Vincent Bolloré keeps me stoned as much as it bothers me.

CNews, like many other media outlets, is a factory to create daily hate! As I began to watch the talk shows and the news, I began to understand where some of my colleagues, neighbors or people I’m not familiar with came from. Because media such as CNews have this double strength: to impose issues on the media and social agenda, and consequently to always place the limit of what is acceptable with the verbal rivalry of the "chroniclers" further away. And it doesn’t matter if they saturate the media space with fake news: “Throw the Alimal Lie! Even if they refute it, there will always be something left” is the new spin doctors doctrine. But don't pretend that this is all a coincidence. A battle of civilization is taking place that is well thought out, organized and well-funded within a cultural war!

This saturation and occult environment paralyzes us. We have a need for uplifting and courageous speeches; we also have a need for mobilizations that serve the function of communion.

Like Steve Bannon in the United States, in the French state Pierre-Édouard Stérin is orchestrating all this. According to the strategy they have theorized, the media area should be covered with water, arguing that “the media can only be emotional about one topic per day.” This is how the small themes show a great protagonism and the deep themes are just fine.

The media of the Bolloré network are, of course, the ideal disseminators of this strategy. But the other media enter this fandango as if they felt compelled to follow it. It's the far right that sets the tempo. As I did dry January in June, I stopped consulting the French media in March. To detoxify, turn off the TV and radios. I was left to saturation with Trump, Musk, Gaza, Marine Le Pen, the austerity plan, the rise of authoritarianism, the attack on minorities... Are we really aware of the impact that actuality has on our mental health?

This saturation and occult environment paralyzes us. We have a need for uplifting and courageous speeches; we also have a need for new mobilizations that serve the function of communion. Spring is coming: the way to the alternative.
