Linear A is a Minoan script used 4,800-4,500 years ago. Recently, in the famous Knossos Palace in Crete, a special ivory object has been discovered, which was probably used as a ceremonial scepter. The object has two inscriptions; one on the handle is shorter and, like most of the administrative texts of the linear inscription A found, has numerical signs.

this is peculiar, on the one hand, because it has no numerical sign, and so far no other such text has been found in Linear A.On the other hand, linear A is also the longest inscription – with 119 hieroglyphic signs. But since we are not yet able to decipher this type of writing, we do not know what it says.
