There are many ways to gain power; not all are beautiful. There are those who want to divide the power and the responsibility that it entails with it, who seek authority. Others have a lot of respect for him and the fact that each step is so measured makes them unable to make a decision. There are those who have never known what power is, and who point out with a simple voice when they understand that something is not right, on the road to better life. Sometimes, by the time we realize it, that simple voice has become an organized act and has been empowering us in the face of the problem.
There are some areas where humble people pay a lot of attention, because the impact on our lives is huge: education is one of them. Our educational system in the Basque Country is very diverse, created to cater to different “worlds”. The powers that govern us have not yet been able to do anything that is good for everyone. In this reality, all models have been “bad” in the face of digital transformations; the educational system is concerned. Students, families, teachers, researchers, managers... who are part of the educational system, little by little we have begun to point out the problem and share it among ourselves. In recent years there have been several movements such as hezkuntza.librezale.eus and altxaburua.eus. In both cases, indicators are found in all the agents that make up the educational system, from both the public and concerted models. In the meetings of parents’ associations, in the channels of different messaging applications, in the media... the unified voice has found an echo like never before. Schools, as the centers of the organization of the lives of many families with children and young people, have been the trend limit of petitions. For example, the request to ban mobile phones in schools. Others are more complex: a deep reflection on the model of digitalization of education, in the path of a model that does not consider as a market the data of those who make up the educational system. They're all important.
