The new Syrian president has withdrawn his hand to the chest of the German Foreign Minister, the minister, and denied him the handshake. Politely, Annalena Baerbock suffers contempt. Before that, the Syrian Al-Golani has reached out to the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Noel Barrot, and has shaken him. The German has been left without knowing what to do with his hands, he has joined his palms and brings him to heaven, with a gesture of sympathy, nervous.

In the reception there are three other men. None of them has given their hands to either French or German. All three have taken their hands to the chest. They've all headed to the meeting room on foot. Behind are a lot of friends in the courtship. A single woman, interpreter, in this big group.

Was it not planned that the Islamist Al Golan would not shake hands with Baerbock? Could the new president not do the same as the other three colleagues and not extend his hand to the two ministers?

It is clear that Al-Golani wanted to show his attitude. This is not the first time that this has happened. How long are we going to tolerate these contempt in silence?
