With the vintage comic suit, the beginning of rock and roll and the experiences of the Cold War witnessed some of the generation characters who, with a ferocious criticism of our current society – using many metaphors – have come to light almost from scratch the new group Nick Linbott and his first long work.
Moreover, with some archeological work, giving total freedom to instruments of wind and themselves, they have broken and celebrated – according to beliefs and prejudices – the preference of musical styles previously worked on in their trajectory. Break it or, rather, transform it. In their background they have worked punk, punk oi!, surfing music, psychobilly… and now there are also signs of it, but passing through other filters… and with two saxons!
They have gone back to the past, to the beginnings of what rock would be; and I would say that they have made a fervent effort to recover and reclaim the gift of fun of music – in addition to adding exercise of criticism and a boost to reflection. And it does!
The album Nothing happened opens the powerful song, the strong saxo, and in addition to awakening the listeners suddenly, it manages to dig up the most raw rocanrol. The rearview gives us a quick, sticky, flickering blend between the ska and the punk rock, which evokes the principles of Kortatu. Next, Jerry Lee Lewis and Jerry Lee Lewis are the students of Jamaica. To finish the part of a, the sad flag looks like a small tribute to The Clash and the steady rock that they also admired.
Face B also begins with force, with twist tenpo, pure rock-and-roll and Clash, with Jani, who always has Clash's track. As for Joxe Rotabator, it's dark, psychobilly, fast and heavy. Ah, I quarry! The complex mutation of Andy and Jackie, oh! Intense melodic punk rock with memorabilia. And it ends with Zorri festa punk punk punk rocker soaked psychobilly.
