Being the street a powerful physical support, as a promoter of visual culture, this character is shared by the festivals of various streets, like Getxophoto, which are currently found, because it assumes the month of June and the urban area. After a selection of photographic and video works presented to the international call, they will be brought from the screen to the physical plan of the street and printed in a macro format, attacking the facades of various public facilities. As it is a street festival, its presence on the facades and in other architectures is accompanied by guided tours to get to know the internal tents of the artists' works, present in shops and bars and proposing commissions. The street is made.
Under the police station of María Ptqk, after the theme “pause” of last year’s call, this year they have reflected on the games of the word “play”. Every day we give him and make him play (an action), and in the use of English “music is played”, “we play a role” and the game is a powerful means to acquire knowledge, for the young and old, we make an approximation to the things that are serious playing, in which we are open to the participation of intuitions, symbolisms and magic. Among all the works I would like to highlight the contribution of Hayahisa Tomiyasu to the reflection on public space: he has presented a series of photographs of the diversity of functions that the Kaletarras give to a ping-pong table on the street and no ping-pong. The game warns us of the value of assuming the role of public square in the public space, as the game becomes a tractor to attract society and provide a service. When the pre-established rules of play are broken, the territory of the game becomes the urban instrument of many other public affairs that are being played on the street!
