It was not news, but if the news that would deserve some headline is that care has gone its way and has taken its place in most electoral programs.

Anyone who wants to direct public policies from the Basque Government has had to enter into concrete proposals on the surveillance system and get vigilance to the requirements that went on strike. The struggle for care has forced political decisions, either to assume demands or to avoid them, and thus have created opportunities that previously did not exist to advance towards the care system we want to achieve.

Drowning institutionalizing struggles is an old and well-known strategy, and that risk continues to exist. But for demands to become public policies and the changes we demand to become reality, those struggles have to go their own way in the institutions. And we've opened that door. The conditions for continuing the struggle to build a new system to reorganize surveillance are better today. It is not small what mobilization brings, there are not few reasons we have to keep mobilizing and pushing.
