Les Damnés de la terre was the underground brebiary of Basque youth from the 1960s and 1970s. That's what Joxe Azurmendi recalled. The work of Franz Fanon was a text that gathered the basic shared ideas of the liberation struggles in the Basque Country. Since then, more than a brief has followed Fanon. Well, Rote Zora, published by Katakrak in 2023, can work similarly.

When I read it, I have thought time and time again that this also serves us. That is my proposal. The texts written by the German feminist armed guerrillas of women, which lasted from 1974 to 1995, contain some basic ideas shared for the struggles in the current Basque Country. Here are a number of examples.

1. “The struggle for law is not enough because the traditional forms of oppression […] are legal.” Within the law one can and can ask for our rights, but struggles have to question the law itself.

2. “Resistance is what underscores oppression.” Do not forget that without resistance oppression is naturalized. Perpetuate.

3. “We hope that actions will give the same impression to other women.” Stop trying to be attractive and sell us. Resistance itself has emotion and adhesion.

4th. “We burn your car, destroy your garden and knock down your chalet. […] Goodbye and kisses.” Do not demonize the right action. Recover, update, practice.

5. “Violence against women is a permanent principle of men’s domination and not an exception. […] The fight against male violence cannot be separated from the fight against all violence in the system.” The violes are not produced in isolation, all oppression occurs in a braided way and therefore: “Destroy and exclude [with] solidarity!”
