Sphinx carved by the wind
- A team of researchers at New York University has just conducted an experiment mimicking Giza esfing materials and the weather conditions of the time it was built.
And the consequence of the experiment is that, before humans, the wind began to shape the sphinx. Then, the Egyptians took advantage of what erosion did naturally and began the works to give an exact look to the sphinx.
Therefore, experts say that currently erosion is deteriorating this monument, but it is also recovering in some way its original appearance.
