The first Monday of October is International Architecture Day, coinciding with International Habitat Day. The simultaneity of two days marks the day, as the architecture (human) accompanies the construction of the habitat. With the excuse of this and with the objective of revitalizing architecture, the cultural programming of October is contaminated with architecture and urbanism, and usually the doors of the closed spaces of professional architects are opened. The symbolism of the day does not excite any part of the body, but it is interested in the approach of the usual activities that are programmed: the tents of architecture are shown. The expansion of the possibility of accessing non-visitable buildings for privacy or security reasons raises curiosity or may arouse curiosity with the possibility of listening to the wishes and objectives of the authors who have designed the building. These two focal points for entering architecture can make possible a different view of the building that we find every day, like what we feel about someone after an intimate deceit. Something changes.
We live surrounded by architecture, but with the exception of professionals, citizens have few instruments to understand architecture. It has two main sources of criticism: whether it is useful when it is on user paper or if it touches the role of ugly/beautiful visitor. Although the functionality and aesthetics of the position facing an architecture are perfectly legitimate, the entrance to the tramon can provide more bases for criticism, a jump from the exterior to the interior. The difficulties encountered along the construction road, the tricks to save the inadequate objectives of a regulation, the intentions to achieve a specific spatial experience, the creative solutions of the installations that are not seen, the story that can bring a material detail… They are all part of the profession, even those who live the space at the end of the building construction works.
