It always seemed to me that our little Disneyland is our Arenal of Bilbao during the Big Week, I still remember what I flipped (and slept in a roundabout) when we just turned 16. A mini city (for me) within a big city for a week. The best holidays in the Basque capitals.
Contrary to what we are used to in Nafarroa Garaia, the possibility of taking public transport every hour to go to sleep has lessened the rainfall forecast. Get out of the train and all the caps on your head. Some acquaintances have a concert at 21:30 and we have found a semi-protected place under one of the porticos of the Arriaga Theatre. Eneko, Beñat (also called Malakias) and Iker are two young Durangus who complete the evolution (with some changes) of what had previously been Parkatu. Guitar, bass, drums and self-inflated voices. Eneko has spent with us before the concert and has gone very well before climbing to the stage of four square meters. They have now joined the gang of top groups in Euskal Herria live: to understand the letters of a tikismikis like me. But you see that there are crowds singing along with those who throw loose words with their little mouth, so the problem is not the group. Although their members are quite present on the networks, they still do not have many songs of their own and have prepared some versions for the most direct ones. It is always a headache to choose songs for the version and the truth is that I did not expect the combo of them. I do not advance you, but it is a curious (and funny) choice.
Unlike many beginner groups, in their songs they can hear some trends that later characterize the group, either in terms of the succession of the harmonies or the successive placement of certain interlets in the melodies. It's not easy to have it (so fast) and they have it.
I am eager to see the concert more closely and to know if the dress code has been the result of what was agreed or the chance of fashion. The next concert I've signed it. Soon after birth, Testamentue Katu sings, but he lacks another six, so, meanwhile, he cannot serve a group that sings a version of Oskorri.
