Anne Sophie Mutter, although not very old, is one of those artists that already makes us mythical. In fact, he made himself known when he was only 13, when Karajan supported him and invited him to play with the Berlin Philharmonic. It has been over 50 years and the fame of this lady has only grown. In fact, Karajan perceived him excellent technical and musical qualities. Furthermore, it has been able to lead a solid career based on quality. This is a myth of music.
And also, a generous myth that distributes knowledge and shares its protagonism with the young talents of the rope. These young people, Mutter's Virtuosi, were their friends in this concert of the Musical Fortnight.
The concert took place between the baroque and contemporary music. A discreet beauty concert that undoubtedly appreciated the audience of Kursaal.
First, the concert at Fa Mayor de Vivaldi, which was given for three violins RV 551. Anne-Sophie Mutter and two other solo violins, Agata Szymczewska and Samuel Nebyu, were brilliant at the rest of the team. The general tone of this work was a pure sound and a phrasing without manisms or excesses.
Then, as a soloist, Mutter offered the Bach BWV 1041 Violin Concert. Besides the transparent and extremely tuned sound offered by the violinist, the highlight was the perfect fusion with the group.
To finish the first part, they made a trip over time and offered to Nonet, the work of the conductor who was husband of André Previn Mutter. This work was composed in 2014 for the Mutter's Virtuosi group. It is beautiful and has tweaks of Shostakovitch, especially in the second dark part. The interpretation was excellent.
In the second part of the concert was performed the Brandenburg Concert in Major Sun BWV 1048, full of energy, and the little-known work by Joseph Bologne, the Violin Concerto op.5 of the may.5, in which we could appreciate the characteristics of Mutter: spectacular technique, magnetic sound and, above all, passion and simplicity.
The listeners applauded the group, more after three visas: The Long Goodbye soundtrack by John Williams, an episode of the Summer of the Four Seasons of Vivaldi and John Williams' Schindler List. Authentic sweets.
