About cooperative love
Beñat Irasuegi Ibarra @birasuegi 2023ko martxoaren 13a

Our dear fellow and fellow people, Mikel Martín Conde, we have been fired forever in the drafting of this article, and although the collective sadness has spread throughout the people, it has allowed us to celebrate Mikel's life and struggles. It has taught us to see emancipated futures in the cutbacks of fights, which has influenced the daily lives of the citizens of Orereta/Errenteria. It has also taught us that the joy of sexuality and the construction of relationships can be free and committed, are related to other struggles, love is political.

Communist philosopher Alain Badu wrote, "Love, above all, is a sustainable construction, an adventure of entanglement. True love has permanent success, sometimes with great difficulties, in the face of the obstacles posed by space, world and time." He said that from the standpoint it is possible to develop new and sustainable projects, and in this line we work intercooperation from transformative cooperativism. When we talk about cooperative love, we refer to the construction of life project relationships, which we do to endure, which increases the resilience capacity of our projects, accepting the difference of the equivalent, developing free and committed relationships also in the collective, in the economy. I think there's no other way to get away from hegemonic capitalist relations.

Building free and committed relationships is a matter for all, such as transfeminism, the transforming economy or the everyday material needs of citizens.

It's not an easy road, because cooperative love needs time, space and material resources, but it's also created by doing, and that's why we, our cooperative, spend a lot of time in this area. The results are evident in the creation of territorial transformation nodes in the Pyrenees, the implementation of the AHA Federation of the Northern Transformative Social Economy and the presence of local transformers that are being generated throughout the Basque Country. For the future, we will work with affection on Olatukoop’s relations by focusing on freedom, compromise and territorial cohesion. Here I have found a good way of fighting.

I did not talk much about cooperativism with Mikel, we talked about the situation and the future of the people, but I know that I valued the struggle for independent work and the creation of cooperatives. Building free and committed relationships is a matter for all, such as transfeminism, the transforming economy or the everyday material needs of citizens. We will continue walking beyond the cutting points, thank you Mikel!
