The research group led by Emmanuelle Casanova, from the University of Bristol, has analyzed 4,300 ceramic containers of 70 deposits in Central Europe in search of food residues, and concluded that 7,400 years ago milk consumption became common in these areas, although there was no homogeneous change.

The research has been carried out within the NeoMilk project of the European Research Council and, in addition to helping to understand this fundamental change that still affects our diet, provides information on changes in food procurement practices.
