Blue Tales | La Secta | Munster Records, 1990/2019

In 1988, in the midst of punk youth and RRV in Euskal Herria, between Bilbao and Santurtzi, four brave young men who looked at transoceanic music, including the antipodes, founded the La Secta group, one of the drivers of the pioneer fanzine The Heritage of the Munster. In addition to Stooge, Spacemen 3, Scientists and other dark and spiral groups, who were completely unknown at the time, gambled on them.

They started writing and rehearsing songs, took the foundation and went to the Le Chalet in Bordeaux to record their first job with Sonic Boom: Blue tales was published in 1990 and received more warmly than in the Basque Country. The Munster Records group, which he set up with his brother IƱigo, had a long trajectory and a varied world record, but its members were changing.

For on the eve of the pandemic, on the 30th anniversary, Blue such republished and the initial quartet met for concerts. The pandemic delayed everything, but the album returns to the street and only occasionally emits direct based on this album.

Songs inevitably lead us to another era, and it's amazing to imagine that they were so pioneering in us. This reissue has been remastered by Santiago Delgado and has tried to maintain the essence of the original. Eight own songs and a version of Suicide and T-Rex, 20th century boy and Ghost rider, the latter more stooged and the first wildest. In addition, as a gift of this edition, alternative versions of Youth and I hate that trip have been added.

In general, you will find dirty rock, rolled up and sometimes hypnotizer, beer, punk and the first traces of grunge in a cocktail that combines youth, freshness and spontaneity. He who, over time, understands it better and acquires the place he deserves.
