Luxury hotel in Londinium
  • Members of the London Archaeological Museum (MOLA) have recently found in Southwark, on the outskirts of the former Londinium, a great Roman mosaic.

The mosaic has a length of 8 meters, the largest discovered in London in the last 50 years. Experts are surprised because, despite being a very built area over the centuries, they have found the mosaic in very good condition. The mosaic of the II or III century decorated the triclinic of a large mansion, with a strategic position, as it was on the main access route to Londimiun.

Archaeologists believe that the building was used to accommodate travelers, a “luxury hotel” of Roman times.
