The closures of the shops that have been kept for a long time in the same direction of the street announce the character of the street and the end of an understanding of the neighborhood. Greetings from historical shops tend to generate collective empathy, the sadness of the end of an era that runs out. These “forever shops,” which will be remembered by all, will disappear from our neighborhoods with the death of a generation.
When we remember the street with the shop window design, when we represent the shop “always” in that place, that store becomes more than a point of sale. These shops that were part of the street are spaces full of human stories, where they collect interviews that are fired with names and surnames, full of creative exercises to adapt to the news brought by each era, which speak of the evolution of a neighborhood (Dendaostekoak, a reflection of this).
On many occasions, these shops retain the shop design and graphics of yesteryear. There is a way to do this in window windows filled with noble materials and artisanal elements, usually in soft colors and with slow lighting. When the representative of such establishments is a franchise, the appearance of the street changes radically. The new store will be decorated with non-special designs and graphics, with more eye-catching and up-to-date images that respond to the concept of short-lived shop, to the point that overcoming the five-year barrier can become a big thing. Online distribution department stores and logistics warehouses have a great demand for space, and this urban landscape is carried out with the authorization of the Government.
